New York Yankees 4, Tampa Bay Rays 8
After tying up the series yesterday the Rays aimed to take a lead in the series 2-1. They were able to do that with help from veteran RHP Charlie Morton. Morton had a 4.74 ERA in 2020. This was his first start of the 2020 postseason and he delivered a good performance of 1 run through 5 innings while striking out 6. The Rays got their first runs on the board with a RBI single in the top of the second by Michael Perez. Then in the top of the fourth Kevin Kiermaier hit a big three run homer to make it a 4-1 game. Later at the top of the 5th Randy Arozarena hit a lead off homer to make it a 5-1 game. Finally in the sixth the Rays scored 3 more runs on a 2 run home run by Micheal Perez and an RBI double by Ji-Man Choi. With this the Rays were able to pull away from Game 3 with a 8-4 win. making them up 2-1 in the series. Thank you for stopping by.
